Class Presentation

This video includes visuals of some art pieces I have had the privilege to see in person, as well as the beginning stages of my art project inspired by The Guerrilla Girls!

Final Art Project

This art piece is my interpretation of the Guerrilla Girls in my own artistic style. Below, I detail how each element comes together to become the finished produce, as well as how it all relates to this course.

“The conjunction of the words ‘body’ and ‘territory’ speaks for itself: it says that it is impossible to cut apart and isolate the individual body from the collective body, the human body from the territory and landscape. ‘Body-territory,’ compacted as a single word, de-liberalizes the notion of the body as

individual property and specifies a political, productive, and epistemological continuity, of the body as territory” (Gago, 86).

Theoretical Framework:

Body - Territory
